Elicitation has a specific purpose: collect information that is not readily available and do so without raising suspicion that specific facts are being sought. It is usually non-threatening, easy to disguise, deniable, and effective. The Intelligent Elicitation and Counter-Elicitation module provides students with an understanding of the psychological basis for elicitation and various tools to use to collect information from an unwitting source. Students will view demonstrations and take part in practical exercises. Students learn to integrate elicitation and counter-elicitation into the same model they use for all their communication. Seminar students can also participate in an optional Live Practical Exercise. This exercise has made this training program a favorite among our students.
